Privacy notice
How we handle your details
This notice explains what MAW Enterprise Ltd collects when you use mawenterprise.co.uk, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do. It is written to meet Article 13 of the UK GDPR. Last updated 26 September 2026.
Who we are
MAW Enterprise Ltd, company number 13810620, registered at International House, 101 King’s Cross Road, London WC1X 9LP. The person responsible for your data is Mark Warren, director. Contact: contact@mawenterprise.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
The seller form ("Send Mark a private note"). Your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, business name, turnover band and anything you choose to write. If you add the optional second step: adjusted profit band, staff numbers, years trading, how much of the business depends on you, timescale and sector. We use it to decide whether yours is a business we could buy and to arrange a conversation with you.
The buyer form ("Ask for a proposal"). Your name, email address, business name, your turnover band, the sector and size you want to buy in, how it would be funded, timescale, whether you have acquired before, optionally your phone number and anything you choose to write. We use it to write you a proposal for an acquisition search.
The newsletter. Your email address, to send you the MAW Acquisition Bulletin.
Each form also records the time it was sent. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts on this site.
Our lawful basis
- Business enquiries (both forms): our legitimate interests in responding to an enquiry you have chosen to make about buying or selling a business, and in running our own acquisition activity. You can object at any time (see your rights below).
- The newsletter: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us.
Who receives it
Enquiries go to Mark Warren at MAW Enterprise Ltd and to nobody else. Your details are not sold, and they are not passed to a broker, a buyer or another client. If you tell us about a business you own, it does not become part of a search we run for anyone else unless you agree to that in writing.
To run the site we use these processors, who handle data on our instructions: Vercel (hosting and the form endpoints), Supabase (the database where enquiries are stored, in the London region), Resend (sending the notification and acknowledgement emails) and Mailchimp (the newsletter list). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under the UK’s international data transfer rules.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for 24 months from the date you send them, then deleted, unless a transaction or engagement proceeds, in which case they become part of that file and are kept for as long as that relationship and our legal obligations require. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to stop using it or to limit how we use it, and object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Write to contact@mawenterprise.co.uk and we will answer within one month.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this notice changes we will update the date at the top. The current version is always at mawenterprise.co.uk/privacy.
